Thursday, June 11, 2015

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Ed Chau (D-Monterey Park) has written legislation to make the digital universe a bit safer for all of us. Assembly Bill 195 would protect individual privacy by cracking down on websites that help people “hire a hacker” to commit digital crimes. And, Assembly 964 would enhance privacy protections for sensitive personal information by strengthening California’s data breach notification law. Assemblymember Chau says, “Cyber security is a growing concern and our laws need to keep up with the world of digital crime.” Learn more about Assemblymember Chau’s legislation in this Assembly Web Report. http://www.asmdc.org/chau
