California Consumer Privacy Act Rulemaking Workshops

Last year, Governor Brown signed into law Assembly Bill 375, a bill I authored, known as the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), the first of its kind in the nation.

I am pleased to announce that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been convening public forums for interested parties to submit comments regarding the CCPA regulations. These hearings are an opportunity for the public to offer feedback to the DOJ, as it promulgates regulations that will establish procedures to facilitate the new consumers’ rights granted by the CCPA, with respect to the collection and use of their personal information.

In addition to attending the forums, the DOJ invites all interested persons and parties to submit comments regarding the CCPA regulations via:

The flyer below details the upcoming public forums that will be held between now and February. I encourage your participation.
